Shopping

Christmas is fast approaching and the team from mumsweb have been checking out the best sites to shop online.   Yep, we have been letting our credit cards get bashed and for the sake of research really put some of the sites to the test.  We can honestly say that we do not include any shopping site unless we have tested it and it is at least a 5 star rating in our books!

Credit Cards -  don't worry -  we have thoroughly checked out the sites for credit card security and believe that it is safer than using it in some places over the counter!

Delivery and returns -  yep they stand by their products (if not easier than the usual shops) and we have been able to successfully swap and get refunds on any merchandise that we were not happy with.

So where do I start?

Well we started with the good ol' weekly shopping - for those in the metropolitan areas this is easy - for those in the country areas - sorry this is not so easy!   We tried the colesonline.com and although this is good, the delay in our order arriving in the time was not so great.  Also the delivery fee of $12.50 was a little bit much especially when a family of four may put an order in for over $200!

greengrocer.com.au and themeatshop.com.au were terrific.  The quality was excellent, they delivered on time and we were thrilled with the standard of website and range of products.

Why do the groceries on line -  well it actually saved us in several ways -  time!  money (no more impulse purchases)!  car parking, traffic congestion and screaming children wanting food and drinks.. we simply snuck up to the computer when they were all asleep and the shops shut and did our shopping with our snack and feet up!  Terrif!

Need more -  then we looked at Flowers -  after all we all like getting them occasionally - so off we trotted and found that www.flowershop.com.au  had a terrific range and were very reasonably priced.  We like being able to see the arrangements rather than phoning and placing the order over the phone.  This is an address to tell the males of the family to learn!

Onwards - we checked out the famous Amazon.com and yep we liked it - sure the Aussie dollar is awful but when we looked at some of the specials, even with the exchange rate and shipping it was still cheaper.  And the range - fantastic!  Our goods arrived within a week and there was absolutely no problem with them!

Dstore and Buyquick are like department stores on line -  easy to buy - easy to navigate and goods were easily delivered.

Full Bloom -  sick of the bras and nickers that are just pinching you -  well we would like to put these ladies up on a pedestal - the most comfortable bras that we have ever had  - and our boobies range from the A cup through to the goddess E cup so we all have had success..

We will be constantly adding more sites that we have tested so keep watching and start your christmas shopping on mumsweb.com

And remember - help keep mumsweb free for users by using our site to click thru to these shopping sites -  it helps us in many ways...

thanks
