Most embryos at this stage measure 5-7 mm in length. Distinguishing
criteria for this stage include an open lens pit with invagination of the lens
disc and elongated and tapering upper limb buds. The otic vesicle with a
well-defined endolymphatic appendage is also a hallmark of this stage.
Symptoms, Symptoms!
Week
seven of your pregnancy is a big week, though neither the embryo nor you are
very big yet. If you're one of the 70 percent of women who feel " morning
sickness", you're probably deep in the throws of it now.
Your diet is important now. You're eating for your future child, too.
Eating well means using your good common sense. Follow the basic pregnancy
diet rules below to help promote a healthy pregnancy and baby.

What's
Going On with Your Body?
You may have symptoms ... nausea or queasiness, odd tastes in your mouth,
bigger, more sensitive breasts, moodiness... or you may not. Some women have
already gained weight, though others, due to morning sickness , may have
actually lost weight. Both are common and normal.
What's
Going On with Your Baby?
The embryo develops a rudimentary face, lung buds, eyes, inner ears, digestive
system, arms, legs, and liver.
Did you
know...?
The baby uses the mother's placenta as its major organ of foetal excretion
before birth.
