Our featured holiday destination this
month is Capricorn International Resort - Yeppoon Queensland.
A hidden oasis for a parent friendly family holiday with the majority of
activities included in the price and a fabulous kids and teenagers

This resort was once the 'Japanese Kawasaki Resort' and pretty much ignored by
Aussie families, but believe you me, it was a welcome change to be able to go to
a Queensland resort and not be charge for everything the kids wanted to
do. It was also great to be able to explore the wonderful area surrounding
the resort and have a couple of non-pool days! We even had a golf lesson
which was fun - embarrassing but fun. I will never again scoff at Greg
Norman or Tiger Woods!
Capricorn Resort have excellent family
accommodation - apartments that can easily accommodate large boisterous
families with great little kitchens so hunger can be satisfied and big big
fridges. All facilities are spread out so you never feel like you a part of a
mob. Family friendly restaurants that have the best kids meals we have
seen in ages and reasonably priced. Staff that smile when chicken nuggets
are propelled across a crowded room and happily oblige to provide the wet cloth
for the jelly mop ups! We award Capricorn Resort the first mumsweb
"Parent Friendly" awards.
